We invite you all to join us the following weekend, as we gather for prayer on Saturday evening, December 4, 2021, from 6:00-7:00 pm, at our All Church Prayer Meeting at Astoria First Assembly of God Church.
Why should you consider to make plans to attend our prayer meeting this Saturday evening at 6 pm?
As a church, one of our core values is connecting with God through prayer and worship. It’s for this reason that our Saturday Night Prayer Meeting is the most important service of the week! As a family of believers, we gather together to lift up needs in the church and around the world, believing God is going to move in mighty ways.
Won’t you please join us this Saturday evening as we pray with faith that the Lord will help us in every area of our lives!
Let us talk straight: We make time for what is most important to us. If our favorite sports team is playing, we are diligent to arrive on time to see it (or sit down in front of it); if we have tickets to a play, a concert, a ballet, etc., we make time to attend it (and arrive promptly, too!). What is most important to you? What do you rise early to do? What do you put aside free time to work on? What do you make time to do with great earnestness and diligence?
Beloved, our prayers release what God has willed in the heavenly realms to be poured out upon the earth. In His desire for relationship, God has ordained that His people would partner with Him to see His Kingdom come where we live.
I encourage you to think seriously about making attendance to prayer meeting important on your schedule. I realize that sometimes there are things that prevent us from attending, but let us seek to be faithful and well-pleasing to Jesus (2 Cor. 5:9).
We urge you to make plans to come and join us for this time of prayer for our local body and the ministry of the church. We live in turbulent and exciting times and our congregation is providing a wonderful opportunity for you to pray on Saturday evenings.
