Pastor Nick and Janice Buhler will be sharing Message #3 The Child ~ The rights of the Children of God, in their series, “The Conception of Christmas” for the month of December.

In this message we explore these questions: 1) How do I become a child of God’s? 2) I have the right to eternal life, but what other rights do I have as God’s child? 3) We can progress from aliens to God, to servants of God, to friends with God, to a flesh and blood member of God’s Family – How does that happen and what does it mean?

· Those who receive Jesus as God’s revelation and believe Jesus is their sacrifice, He give the right and ability to become one of God’s children, not adopted but “born again” or a new in God’s family.

· Because Jesus became a child, He made a way for me to become a “child of God.”

Luke 15:22-24

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

John 1:10-13

10 "He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God."
