It’s our great pleasure to invite you and your family to join us this Sunday, April 11, 2021, at 10:30 AM, for our Worship Service at Astoria 1st Assembly of God.

We hope that you will make joining us at Church a part of your weekly plans. With a relevant message, engaging worship, and plenty of activities for the whole family, this Sunday will be a celebration @ Astoria First Assembly which you don’t want to miss!

Pastor Nick and Janice Buhler will be starting a new preaching series on the book of Acts. This Sunday, we will start with the Introduction of the Book of Acts. It has been said that the Book of Acts is a Master Class on Church Growth.

We would all like to see our church grow, in fact, we would like to see all churches grow, but we must go back to the original manual on how the Holy Spirit grew the church and has always grown the church, which is found in the book of acts.

Come and join us as we Preach through the book of Acts, chapter by chapter, each week.

Why is Acts so important?

Acts is the only biblical book that chronicles the history of the church immediately after Jesus’s ascension. As such, it provides us with a valuable account of how the church was able to grow and spread out from Jerusalem into the rest of the Roman Empire. In only three decades, a small group of frightened believers in Jerusalem transformed into an empire-wide movement of people who had committed their lives to Jesus Christ, ending on a high note with Paul on the verge of taking the gospel to the highest government official in the land—the Emperor of Rome.

Pastor Steve & Lori will be leading worship! The Holy Spirit is always THE true Worship Leader. He’s leading us to glorify Jesus, revealing Jesus to our hearts, and performing miracles in our midst. When the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and the Hunger of His people collide, there’s no telling what could happen.

We aren’t simply gathering to worship – we’re worshipping the Father, our merciful God, our great Redeemer, etc. So, the phrase, “I love to worship!” becomes, “I love to worship the Savior!” “Let’s worship!” becomes “Let’s worship our glorious God!”

(“Worship is No Longer Worship when it reflects the culture around us more than the Christ within us.” ~A.W. Tozer)

Please come and join us this Sunday! We invite you to come experience life with us!

We hope to see you in church this weekend!

Have a Blessed Week!
